St. Petersburg College
From the beginning, St. Petersburg College has been a leader. It was Florida's first two-year college (founded in 1927) as well as the state's first community college to offer bachelor's degrees (2002). Today, SPC is one of 28 state colleges, and serves as a model for incorporating bachelor's degree programs into traditional two-year institutions. Degree programs include many areas such as nursing, veterinary technology, international business and education, to name a few.
SPC is a leader in online education, with some degree programs available fully online, giving anyone the opportunity to gain their degree at SPC from anywhere in the world. Forget about scheduling babysitters, fighting traffic or rushing to class. SPC's fully accredited online courses offer the convenience and flexibility of distance learning to help you earn your college degree, expand your job skills or both. Each year, more than 20,000 students take classes through SPC's award-winning eCampus online learning program. We offer more than 650 online courses and dozens of degrees that can be taken completely online. Currently, SPC's eCampus is Florida's largest online campus - We know how to do it right - with quality faculty, structured interaction between students and their professors and leading-edge technology and media tools.
SPC is also a leader in education abroad, currently offering over 10 faculty-led study abroad programs, in countries such as Ecuador, Ireland, South Africa and Australia, to name a few.
Finally, SPC is host to over 174 international students from over 54 countries and provides complete support to all needs for students' academic and personal success. International students are leaders on campus and thrive in a diverse environment with multiple opportunities for campus and community engagement. SPC has a full service International Student Services office on multiple campuses. SPC has multiple ESL programs and 2+2 agreements with all Universities within the Florida University system.
